Tuition & Payment Policies

All-Inclusive Season Tuition

At Dance Lab, we keep things simple. Rather than charging separately throughout the year for costumes, recital fees, rehearsal fees, photos, and videos, we've bundled nearly everything into one all-inclusive season tuition. This means fewer surprise fees and one easy-to-understand investment in your dancer's experience.

Your tuition covers the entire season, from September 8 – June 6, including weekly classes and year-end performance participation.

To reserve your dancer's spot, the first month's tuition is due at registration. The remaining balance may be:

  • Paid in full at registration and receive a 10% discount, or

  • Divided into monthly installments with automatic payments on the 1st of each month through May.

There is no tuition payment in June, even though the season concludes with our June 6 performance.

Season Tuition

45-minute class $990 = Approximately $110/month

60-minute class $1,224= Approximately $136/month

20% off each additional class.

Optional Holiday Performance: Dancers participating in our Holiday Show on November 22 will have a $200 Holiday Performance & Costume Fee, due by November 15.

What's Included

Your all-inclusive tuition includes:

  • Weekly dance instruction

  • Registration fee

  • All technical and dress rehearsals

  • Year-end performance participation

  • Performance costume(s) (excluding shoes and tights)

  • Digital performance video

  • Professional action photos from the concert

Not Included

  • Dance shoes

  • Tights

  • Concert tickets

  • Optional concert apparel and merchandise

Tuition Policies

Enrollment reserves your dancer's place for the season and is a commitment to the full season tuition, whether paid in full or through monthly installments.

Monthly tuition is processed automatically on the 1st of each month using the credit card on file. Tuition remains the same regardless of holidays, school breaks, illness, or missed classes, as your payments represent the total cost of the season divided into equal monthly installments—not payment for individual classes.

Please keep your payment information current. If a payment is declined, you will receive an email notification.

Class Additions

Want to add another class? We'd love to have you! Additional classes may be added through February 15, pending availability. Contact the front desk to schedule a trial class.

Cancellations

You may withdraw at any time by providing 30 days' written notice to jenny@dancelabcharleston.com.

  • A $30 cancellation fee applies.

  • Tuition payments are non-refundable, but may be transferred to another student or applied as studio credit toward a future Dance Lab program.

Missed Classes

Tuition is not refunded for missed classes due to illness, vacations, weather closures, or holidays. Whenever possible, we are happy to offer make-up class options. Life happens! If your dancer misses class, they're welcome to make it up in another age-appropriate class anytime before the season ends pending space availability.

Waiver & Release

By registering, you acknowledge and accept the inherent risks associated with dance classes, rehearsals, performances, and related activities. You release Dance Lab, its owners, employees, and instructors from any claims arising from injury, illness, or damages sustained while participating in studio activities.

Dance Lab is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property.

By enrolling, you also grant Dance Lab permission to photograph and/or film students during classes, rehearsals, performances, and studio events. These images and recordings may be used for promotional, educational, and marketing purposes without compensation.
